Gordon Parks and Langston Hughes

Time spent reading- 30 min.

Favorite Langston Hughes Poem
Justice

That Justice is a blind goddess

Is a thing to which we black are wise:

Her bandage hides two festering sores

That once perhaps were eyes.

Favorite Portrait
Paris Fashion, 1950

This is my favorite photo by Gordon Parks. It is a very high fashion formal portrait. There are many dramatic shadows and her face captures the ligh fantastically. The photo is elegant and poised like the model.
